ROYAL MONTREAL REGIMENT KING 'S CROWN - WW2 to 1952 ERA BADGE DESCRIPTION Good example of a WW2 to 1952 era, brass King's Crown, cap badge from the Canadian Army, Royal Montreal Regiment. 2 loop style lugs for attachment. The badge could use a clean before display. This Westmount, Quebec based Regiment mobilised on September first, 1939, and embarked for the U.K. on December seventh, 1939. They landed in Normandy on July 28th, 1944, as the Defence Battalion of the first Canadian Army Headquarters. The regiment subsequently received four Battle Honours. On June first, 1945, the regiment was mobilised for the Canadian Army Pacific Force, but never saw service in that role due to the end of the Pacific War.
